As your elopement photographer, my role goes far beyond taking pictures.
I’m here to preserve the soul of your day, and capture the raw emotions that tell your love story.
I’ll start by saying, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that photographing elopements in Europe would become my career. From corporate roles to serving in the United States Army, I explored so many paths.
Yet, nothing compares to the lightning bolt of energy that runs through me when I pick up my camera to capture the stories of some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met.
Hey there. I’m Ronise.
Why I moved to Europe.
I was born in Ribeira Grande, Cabo Verde—a small village and former Portuguese colony. My family later migrated to the United States, where I grew up, but the lifestyle and charm of Europe won me over.
After exploring several countries, including a study abroad year in Spain, I knew Portugal is where I would settle. That said, it’s not the only place that has my heart.
Living here also allows me to travel to other stunning parts of Europe that I adore, such as Italy, Greece, France, and beyond—one of the many perks of living so close. And let’s not forget Morocco, which is just a hop, skip, and jump away.

I also... EAT, SLEEP, AND BREATHE TRAVEL.
So, if you are planning a destination wedding and need someone who can meet you in
the middle of the desert, on a cliff in Portugal, or a small town in Italy, then I might just be your girl!
A Quick Snapshot About Me.
Before moving to Europe, I lived and traveled in a beautiful 1991 Ford E350 ambulance camper—and had the time of my life!
I love a good cocktail and know where to find the best margarita and espresso martini in Lisbon. I have yet to find a better pisco sour than the one I make at home.
I’m a big foodie here! If you are visiting lisbon, I’ll send you a well curated list of my favorite restaurants in town. One of them has the best pizza in the world!
I’ve lived in five different countries: Cape Verde (CV), Spain, Portugal, Kuwait, and the United States. So far, Portugal and CV have been my favorites.
With a unique name like Ronise, I’ve picked up plenty of nicknames over the years: Ro, RoRo, Roni, Nice, Nicey, Ropiza, and Ropi. I like Roni the best, so feel free to go with that one.
