Igreja Nosso Senhora da Saude (Our Lady of Health Church)
If you are searching for a traditional catholic wedding, then getting married inside Igreja Nosso Senhora da Saúde, might be the perfect way to start your wedding. Its beautifully designed with a nice mixture of different architectural styles—Manueline, Mannerist, and Baroque—all blending elegantly together.
There are also small and intimate areas at the resort that are perfect for an elopement.
Jardim das Ardens (Ardens Garden)
Nestled within the Monastery, Jardim das Ardens is one of two gardens in Penha Longa. Surrounded by lush green grass and a distant forest backdrop, this picturesque setting offers many possibilities: a romantic ceremony, a lively cocktail hour, or an intimate dinner. It also features a pool, allowing you to get as creative as you want. Imagine covering the pool with flowers or using it as an aisle.

Salao Nobre (Noble Room)
In my opinion, Salao Nobre is one of the most beautiful rooms in Penha Longa. The traditional Portuguese tile paintings (azulejos) and gorgeous detailed ceiling was enough to take my breath away. It’s small and can only seat up to 60 people for dinner, but it’s the perfect location for micro weddings, the rehearsal dinner, or cocktail hour.

Should you Hire an Elopement Planner or a Destination Wedding Planner?
Some photographers (such as myself) will serve as both the photographer and elopement planner for weddings with 15 people or less. However, if you are looking to have a bigger wedding, may I suggest hiring a wedding planner? The resort also has event managers who will assist with the planning process.
