Surprise Engagement At Water’s Edge Resort

Anthony originally called me with a simple request. “I want to capture my girlfriend’s surprise look when I propose”. We continued to talk through the week, and before I knew it, I was helping him with the plan. This was fun! I felt like a spy planning a top-secret mission. On the day of, I arrived at the hotel early, and grabbed a bag of sticks and candles from the front desk. After writing, “will you marry me,” on the sand of Standard Beach, right outside of Water’s Edge Resort. I waited. I saw the couple from afar as they made their way towards me. This was my cue to pretend to photograph the area and only focus on them as they approached. It took a second for her to register what she read, but once she did, click, surprise captured.
